The Wall Removal Process
Not all walls are created equal. Before we remove anything, we determine whether the wall is load-bearing or non-load-bearing. If the wall is load-bearing, we coordinate with a licensed structural engineer to design a steel or engineered lumber beam that carries the load safely. The process includes structural assessment and engineering, City of La Quinta permit applications for structural modifications, temporary shoring to support the structure during construction, beam installation with proper connections to the foundation, electrical and plumbing relocation as needed, and ceiling and wall finishing to create a seamless result.
